You’re Not Alone: Hair Loss Awareness Month at Rejuvenation Spa
Hair loss can feel sudden, emotional, and deeply personal. For some, it’s linked to autoimmune conditions like alopecia areata. For others, it’s a side effect of stress, illness, or cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation, or stem cell therapy. No matter the cause, it’s often a loss that feels invisible to others—but very real to you.
At Rejuvenation Spa, we want you to know that you’re not alone—and that there are ways to care for both your scalp and your spirit through it.
Last month, we shared a blog post from one of our owners, Tina, who experienced total hair loss following chemotherapy and again later due to alopecia. Her journey involved trial and error, frustration, and patience—but eventually, healing.
Read Tina’s story here.
Whether you’re navigating something similar or just starting to notice more hair in your brush, this month is about opening up the conversation and offering gentle, informed support.
Where Hair Health Begins: Scalp First
One of the most important things we’ve learned is that healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp.
When hair is thinning or fragile, it’s essential to clear buildup, increase circulation, and create the ideal environment for growth. These products have been especially helpful to our guests and team members:
- Aveda Scalp Solutions: exfoliating scalp treatment, balancing serum, and a scalp massager to boost circulation and soothe tension
- Aveda Invati Ultra Advanced System: a 4-step routine using plant actives and Ayurvedic herbs to help reduce hair loss due to breakage
- Living Proof Scalp Care Density Serum: fragrance-free, lightweight, and clinically proven to increase visible density
- Revitalash Volume Enhancing Foam: strengthens and conditions thinning strands—also safe for brows
Many guests find that layering a few of these products brings the best results.

Wet Hair = Fragile Hair: Handle with Care
Hair is most vulnerable when wet—it swells, stretches, and can snap with the wrong tools or tension. Gentle handling makes a huge difference.
- Pat hair dry instead of rubbing
- Use a Wet Brush to detangle damp strands
- Skip tying hair up when wet—opt for Teleties Hair Ties or Clips instead
- Let your hair partially air-dry before heat styling

Curious About Red Light Therapy?
In Tina’s story, red light therapy (low-level laser therapy) helped stimulate new growth. While we don’t offer it in-house, we’re happy to guide you to FDA-cleared options like:
- Theradome EVO
- Capillus PRO
- iRestore
Most start with short, 20-minute sessions a few times per week—and over time, notice encouraging changes.
Let’s Keep Talking About It
Whether your hair loss is new, temporary, or something you’ve been living with for years, please know that we see you—and we’re here to support you. We can’t promise miracles, but we can promise honesty, care, and a team that listens.
